Doña Julias Mexican Restaurant: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Lakeland, FL

Ate lunch here, has an old cantina diner feel to the location. Ordered a little variety between the Stuffed Jalapeños, Lucas Tacos, and a Chili Relleno on the side. The Tacos and Salsa were fairly plain, but the Jalapeños and Relleno were very delicious (fair warning, beware the spices they mix with the sour cream that you dip the Jalapeños in, there was a pocket of solid spices that about annihilated my tongue). With excellent service this is definitely a return to restaurant.

Small restaurant with great service and amazing food. I ordered the combo chicken and steak fajitas and was surprised by the nice sized portion and the affordable price ($15.99).

This was my first visit to Dona Julia's. I was part of a group of 7 that went there for dinner after work. We were given a large, roomy table. Lots of selections on the menu; I had fajitas! The plate arrived hot and sizzling and the only thing I could say is add just a bit more sour cream...it was delicious! The manager came to greet us and thanked us for our patronage. It is a fairly small venue, not much in the way of atmosphere but we were there for the food and we were all very satisfied with our meals!

Friendly. As soon as you enter many, if not all, staff greets you. Quick to sit. Menu has great choice along with an all day breakfast. Been there before and food was spot on. As for our second visit spot on again. The one thing I want point out that the food was a bit under seasoned, which is great. It allows me to take it up a notch as needed. Many restaurants have been OVER seasoning their foods to the point its so overly seasoned, salted it tastes awful. But Dona Julia is spot on and allows me, the eater, to season it to my taste! Thank you. Must visit.

Just had breakfast here for the first time, I am definitely doing it again! You can beat the prices and taste. The food taste amazing and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I have been there several times, one time it was packed, but my togo never took an extra amount of time coming out.

Best mexican food in town! We have searched all over, and now our search has ended. Affordable, authentic meals. Highly recommend

Good location, Great taste and awesome staff. We went for brunch and were impressed with the menu& flavor. Most important part..the prices were unbeatable!! We ordered omelets with potatoes, biscuits and a small order of French toast no drinks just water and total was $24 wow...I loved it! Can't wait to go back and try the enchiladas. Hard to find places where you can eat great and not to go broke.

My wife and I love this. Everything we've ever ordered has been very good. Breakfast is good also. I really love their Chile Verde and the Carnitas are crisp on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside, and the tomatillo salsa is very good. This is a hole-in-the-wall in the best way. The atmosphere is pleasant but casual, comfortable, not pretentious. The prices are very reasonable, so you can go here twice for the price of one visit elsewhere. Every time we've been here the service has been good. Good service, good food, good price, so yeah, it might be busy, but there's a reason why.
